Green Power Mobility Reviews
Green Power is committed to creating purpose-built electric vehicles that deliver on their promises of safety, reliability and durability. Their first product is the EV Star cab and chassis, a class 4 battery electric vehicle that is the ideal platform for bus, truck, and vocational body builders to place their bodies on.
GreenPower's Clean Sheet design
GreenPower offers a unique, all-aluminum class 4 battery electric cab and chassis. This platform is not only the basis for GreenPower's EV Star Mobility Plus all-aluminum body minibus, but also an OEM platform that permits truck, bus and vocational vehicle manufacturers to build their own bodies on it to build custom-designed vehicles that meet their specific requirements.
Greenpower's clean-sheet design approach allows for optimal battery location and weight distribution. This lets it accommodate a greater energy supply and also provide greater range and set the bar for zero emission student transportation. This is a key differentiator in comparison to traditional Type A school buses which are usually body-on-chassis.
The BEAST is a 40 foot, fully-compliant, zero-emission Type D electric school bus with seating for up to 90 passengers. It has an aluminum body unified on a high strength steel truss chassis. Its crash-proof flat floor allows for tracking and dual port charging, which supports both DC and Level 2 fast charging.
This purpose-built chassis allows Greenpower to maximize space for cargo and students which is crucial for the future of passenger and freight transportation. The BEAST's aluminum body helps reduce maintenance costs and downtime because of its lightweight weight and resistance to corrosion.

In addition to the BEAST, Greenpower is also introducing its EV Star Cargo and EV Star Passenger Vans. These specially-designed vehicles can be utilized for a variety of applications like micro-transit, paratransit executive shuttles, vanpool and cargo delivery.
In the third quarter of 2013, GreenPower delivered eleven BEAST Type D electric school buses as along with six EV Star Cargo vans and EV Star Passenger vans. In addition, GreenPower received an $18.5 million EPA-funded contract for 50 BEAST Type D electric school buses in West Virginia. This major contract win demonstrates the demand in the market for GreenPower's vehicles, and positions the company for additional growth.
Greenpower's fleet electric vehicle solutions are designed to lower operating costs, reduce maintenance costs and improve driver safety. Greenpower will display its BEAST Type D and EV Star cargo and passenger vehicles at the NYC Fleet Show October 29-31. For more details, visit booth #429.
GreenPower's technology
GreenPower's sustainable business practices as well as its product are built on its technology. GreenPower's primary focus is zero emissions vehicles, which are in line with global regulations that aim to reduce the amount of air pollution and greenhouse gases. With a range of purpose-built electric vehicles, the company is poised to enter a variety of markets.
GreenPower is not without challenges. One of the biggest problems is its dependence on a tiny number of key suppliers, which includes lithium-ion battery producers. This poses operational risks as disruptions in the supply chain can affect production timelines. Furthermore, GreenPower's expensive manufacturing costs hinder market penetration and inhibit profitability.
Another challenge facing the company is the availability of charging infrastructure. The lack of a robust charging infrastructure could hinder GreenPower from achieving its sustainability goals because consumers will be reluctant to adopt an electric vehicle without access to charging stations.
Despite these challenges, GreenPower has the potential to overcome them by using its technology for future growth. For instance GreenPower could expand its product line to include delivery trucks and electric freight. This would complement the current line of scooters, which could be used for last mile applications as well as urban transportation.
In addition, GreenPower's battery-less switch sensors can power a wide range of devices for their entire life, removing the need for batteries. The sensors produce electricity by using kinetic energy and can last for 10 years without any maintenance. Sensors are an excellent opportunity to cut the cost of smart home technology and improve efficiency in commercial settings.
The management team of the company has extensive experience in both the electric and automotive vehicles sector. Their collective expertise allows GreenPower to navigate the maze of the industry and ensure that the company's strategic goals are fulfilled. GreenPower's wireless technology is also compatible with the Zigbee protocol, which allows it to use devices from top brands.
GreenPower's EV Star utility truck is an effective solution for businesses seeking to increase efficiency and sustainability in their fleet operations. The vehicle can be outfitted with a wide range of bodies and therefore be used in a wide range of applications. Additionally, the truck can be equipped with a hybrid drive powered by batteries system, which offers additional fuel savings.
GreenPower's Vehicles
GreenPower Motor Company designs and builds a full suite of electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles, including school buses, transit shuttles, buses cargo vans, chassis and cab. They employ an approach to design that is clean and simple and incorporate global suppliers for important components.
